The Fruit Loop is a strategy employed in the Sozo tools, guiding their structure and informing the step-by-step process. It is a simple five-phase Sozo process to stay on course through the twist and turns of facilitating inner healing ministry. The steps do not have to be done sequentially; there is freedom and flexibility... These steps may [also] be initiated in a number of ways, most of them informal.

Let God identify and frame the issue(s) needing to be dealt with. Ask God to reveal to you what He is focusing on right now.

1. Fruit

What's the quality of the fruit?

The less-than-desirable quality of the fruit hints at what may be going on inside. The goal of examining the fruit is to bring some WESUD definition to the current events, feelings, and breakdowns that are happening, and put a handle on them. This is all about identifying what we are dealing with, but to do it in a gentle and non-categorizing way.

2. Root

Where did it come from and why?

We trace bad fruit to a bad root.... Here we query the person about first occurrences, origins, and reasons, to define and frame the root problem.

3. Boot

Clear out the problems.

WE get rid of both the problem and the lies and dark energy that are helping to sustain it. We seek to fix what is broken, heal what is ill, and undo what is binding the person.

Approaches for booting WESUD:

  • Woundings > RECONNECT with our loving God in the pain and sadness. RECEIVE God's comfort, strength, and healing. GAIN divine perspective. RELEASE wound-based lies by removing barriers to intimacy and trust in God.

  • Entanglements > RENOUNCE entanglements and places of agreement with darkness and BREAK AGREEMENT with them.

  • Sin > REPENT of sin and rebellion and EMBRACE God's ways.

  • Ungodly beliefs > REVEAL the lies (the ungodly beliefs) under which we are living and RECEIVE the correlated truth (godly belief) to replace it.

  • Demons > REBUKE the devil and his demons and CAST them out.

4. Loot

Take back what was stolen.

God intends for our healing and restoration to cause Satan something. We look for God's intent in the situation both current and past, for God's destiny objective of blessing and for what has been stolen.

For every Wounding, Entanglement, Sin, Ungodly belief, Demonization, we...

  • RECEIVE forgiveness and infilling from God.

  • REPLACE lies with truth.

  • RENEW joy, faith, and hope, and refresh by ending with blessing.

5. Scoot

Make life choices and changes.

We are practical. We make provision to walk out and defend the new ground that has been taken. We are realists and know that every victory is a product of both God's power and human will and desire. We identify steps, decisions and actions that should be taken to make the advance of the Kingdom permanent.

It is helpful for the person to envision their lives, now cleaned out, with a chance to "redecorate" the rooms that were cleansed. Instruct them to walk out what they have experienced in practical ways every day, and that they can use the same techniques every time they experience issues—they themselves can resist, confess, forgive, etc.

For people to live and walk out their freedom...

  • RECOUNT with the person what has transpired.

  • REHEARSE with them what they can do if issues try to return.

  • REFILL their life by replacing unhelpful behaviors and environments with renewed ones.
