Romans Road
A Gospel Presentation
The Romans Road is a Gospel presentation that explains the good news of salvation using only Bible verses from the Book of Romans.
The Romans Road Gospel Presentation
1. Romans 3:23
THE PROBLEM: We have all sinned
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
2. Romans 6:23
THE CONSEQUENCE: The punishment for sin is death
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
3. Romans 5:8
THE SOLUTION: Jesus died for us, paying the penalty for our sin
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
4. Romans 10:13
THE INVITATION: Call on the Lord and you will be saved
"For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
5. Romans 10:9-10
THE RESPONSE: Believe in what Jesus did for you (died for your sins to bring you back into relationship with God) and declare, "Jesus is Lord"
"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." (Romans 10:9-10)
6. Romans 5:1-2
THE RESULT: Peace with God
"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God." (Romans 5:1-2)
7. Romans 8:1-4,38-39
THE ASSURANCE: We will never be condemned for our sins OR separated from God
"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit." (Romans 8:1-4)
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39)

OFFER opportunity for the person to surrender their life to God - If a person is ready to turn from their self-directed ways and put their trust in Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior, lead them in a prayer of repentance. The beauty of this Gospel presentation is that you can use the very points you made with each verse to have them pray a prayer of repentance: Example: Lord, I have sinned against You | and I deserve death - an eternal separation from You | But your Son Jesus died for my sins to forgive my sins and to make a way for me to come into relationship with You | I am now calling on You to save me | I believe in what Jesus did for me and I declare You, Lord of my life! | I thank You that Your Word assures me that I will now have peace with You | And that I will be able to live in Your love always, never to be separated from it, both now and for all eternity!...
