What Are The Songs of Revelation?

The Songs of Revelation, found in the book of Revelation, capture the unfolding drama of the End Times, as seen from heaven's perspective. At every step along the way, the angels, the saints, the four living creatures, and the elders, are all worshiping Jesus and singing their agreement with His righteous judgments on the earth.

The Body of Christ, God's Church, now joins in singing these Songs of Revelation, as we also have expectation (from the revealed end time Biblical prophecy) of His plans unfolding and of His coming, in a dramatic and glorious way. We join with all of heaven, asking for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Below are the Songs of Revelation in the order they appear in the book of Revelation. In black are the actual phrases sung in heaven, and in white the Biblical context of that song.

Allow yourself to embrace and participate in the repeated nature of these songs, just as they are sung in heaven, for your own growth. Let it reinforce this eternal perspective of God's sovereignty - He is in control, even in the unfolding chaos that is to come. Let your heart establish itself in that confidence to gain heavenly perspective. And free yourself from being a spectator, to partner up with heaven in what God is about to do.

Use these for your own spontaneous singing of these "songs." As you sing the songs repeatedly, with your own tunes, allow God to release more revelation, which you can add to your spontaneous songs.

Rev. 4:8 ➪ "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come."

And around the throne, on each side of the throne, are four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind: the first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature with the face of a man, and the fourth living creature like an eagle in flight. And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!" - Revelation 4:6b-8

Rev. 4:11 ➪ "Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created."

And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying, "Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created." - Revelation 4:9-11

Rev. 5:9-10 ➪ "Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth." - Revelation 5:9-10

And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. And he went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne. And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth." - Revelation 5:6-10

Rev. 7:10 ➪ "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!"

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!" - Revelation 7:9-10

Rev. 7:12 ➪ "Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen."

And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen." - Revelation 7:11-12

Rev. 11:15 ➪ "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever."

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever." - Revelation 11:15

Rev. 11:17 ➪ "We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, who is and who was, for you have taken your great power and begun to reign."

And the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying, "We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, who is and who was, for you have taken your great power and begun to reign. The nations raged, but your wrath came, and the time for the dead to be judged, and for rewarding your servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear your name, both small and great, and for destroying the destroyers of the earth." - Revelation 11:16-18

Rev. 15:3-4 ➪ "Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations! Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed."

And I saw what appeared to be a sea of glass mingled with fire—and also those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name, standing beside the sea of glass with harps of God in their hands. And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations! Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed." - Revelation 15:2-4

Rev. 19:1a-2 ➪ "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for his judgments are true and just.."

After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out, "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for his judgments are true and just for he has judged the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her immorality, and has avenged on her the blood of his servants." Once more they cried out, "Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up forever and ever." - Revelation 19:1-3

Rev. 19:5 ➪ "Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, small and great."

And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who was seated on the throne, saying, "Amen. Hallelujah!" And from the throne came a voice saying, "Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, small and great." - Revelation 19:4-5

Rev. 19:6b-8 ➪ "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure—for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints."

Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure—for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints." - Revelation 19:6-8
