"A big part of spiritual maturity relates to the knowledge we have acquired concerning God's ways. We cannot act on what we do not know.

The knowledge we need in order to boost our Christian maturity fits into seven categories. We must gain: 1) knowledge of what the Bible teaches, 2) skills for living the Christian life, 3) knowledge of how to rightly relate to God and other people, and 4) knowledge about the many aspects of faith and faith life.

As such, we must dedicate ourselves to being lifelong students of our faith. Just as with all the other categories of spiritual development, there is an unlimited amount of knowledge available for us to learn in each these categories. No matter how much we learn, there is more to acquire."
