Prayers to Pray Over An Outreach

Great Prayers to Pray Over an Outreach to the Community

  1. SALVATION - that people would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior; that we would present the Gospel with clarity - “...Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” - (Revelation 7:10 NIV)

  2. SENSITIVITY TO THE LEADINGS OF THE SPIRIT - that God would guide the ministers to specific people, and release his wisdom, discernment, and revelation for powerful and effective ministry - “Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.” (Galatians 5:25 NLT)

  3. POWER/ANOINTING/HEALING - that we would minister in God’s power; that gifts of healing for physical, emotional, etc. would flow; that the captives be set free...- “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn...” (Isaiah 61:1-2 NIV)

  4. FAVOR WITH PEOPLE - that there be an easiness in connecting, engaging in conversations, and in leading into spiritual conversations - “The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:25-26 NIV)

  5. PROTECTION - Covering of protection over those who minister and those ministered to - “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” (Psalm 91:1-2 NIV)

  6. REVELATION - that God would become more real and tangible to everyone we minister to, even in those who watch from a distance - “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe...” (Ephesians 1:17-19 NIV)

  7. GOD’S LOVE - that there be a deep and lasting impartation of God’s love to everyone we minister to, even in those who watch from a distance; that people would be so marked by God’d love that it would lead to a desire to go deeper with God and to connect with other believers - “God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing...” (Psalm 68:6a NIV)

  8. SOFTENED HEARTS - that God would soften hardened hearts - “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.” - (Ezekiel 36:26-27 NIV)

  9. JUSTICE/RIGHTEOUSNESS - that God’s justice would come down to change the oppression and injustices many find themselves under - “But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!” (Amos 5:24 NIV)
