Knowledge of God In Encounters

A Spiritual Practice Of Thanksgiving And Appreciation In Encounters With God

spiritual practice created by Raimer Rojas

The Knowledge Of God

Knowledge of God in Encounters is a spiritual practice that has both personal and corporate application for deepening our appreciation of God. Science has shown that when we appreciate a person, the natural outflow is we open up to receive from that person. In a similar way our thanksgiving and appreciation of what God did for us and who He is to us, will cause us to warm up to the God who is always there with uswhether or not we had recognized Him as being present, in the past. In the context of a group, this kind of sharing does not just bless us but will fill the ears and thoughts of others in the group with stories of a living, interactive God. It is helping others see the many and varied ways God operates, opening them up to new possibilities of experiencing and interacting with God. It also brings us into a greater sensitivity and awareness of His presence and ongoing work in our lives. And the thanksgiving and appreciation that flows out of this approach models for all a great practice that encourages, strengthens, and brings comfort to those who engage in it.
