NOLA Prayer Points (After Our Trip)

Pray For Divine Breakthrough To Continue For Those We Prayed For

  • DRAWING CLOSER TO GOD - May each person we encountered/ministered to, continue to move closer to Jesus.

  • DIVINE CONNECTIONS - That someone else can step into their lives to help them take next steps towards Jesus.

  • COMPLETED HEALINGS - May the healings begun in the lives of those we ministered to continue and be completed.

  • HEALTH - We bless the physical health of our team members as they return to their families and jobs.

  • MOMENTUM - May our DSchool members continue with an outreach focus after our training ends, as part of the momentum that was begun.

  • PROTECTION AND DIRECTION - For victory in spiritual warfare, as we all process our trip and what Jesus wants for our next steps.

  • STRENGTH - The strength of God to do the works of God both at home for our team and in New Orleans, for the churches and believers there.

Original NOLA Prayer Points (Before and During our Trip)

Pray For Divine Breakthrough In Our Outreach

  1. SENSITIVITY TO THE LEADINGS OF THE SPIRIT - That God would guide our NOLA team to specific God-prepared people, and release His wisdom, discernment, and revelation for powerful and effective ministry. - “Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.” (Galatians 5:25 NLT)

  2. POWER/ANOINTING/HEALING - That we would minister in God’s power; that gifts of healing for physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental needs would flow, and that those captives would be set free. - “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn...” (Isaiah 61:1-2 NIV)

  3. FAVOR WITH PEOPLE - That there be an ease in connecting and engaging in conversations, and in leading these into spiritual conversations. - “The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:25-26 NIV)

  4. PROTECTION - Covering of protection over our NOLA team and those to which we minister. That any spiritual attack be neutralized and kept at bay. - “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” (Psalm 91:1-2 NIV) - “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.” (Ephesians‬ ‭6:12-13‬ ‭ESV)‬‬

  5. REVELATION - That God would become more real and tangible to everyone we minister to, even in those who watch us from a distance. - “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe...” (Ephesians 1:17-19 NIV)

  6. GOD’S LOVE - That there be a deep and lasting impartation of God’s love to everyone we minister to, even in those who watch from a distance; that people would be so marked by God’d love that it would lead to a desire to go deeper with God and to connect with other believers. - “God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing...” (Psalm 68:6a NIV)

  7. SOFTENED HEARTS - That God would soften hardened hearts through divine breakthrough. - “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.” - (Ezekiel 36:26-27 NIV)

  8. JUSTICE/RIGHTEOUSNESS - That God’s justice would come down to change the oppression and injustices many find themselves under. - “But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!” (Amos 5:24 NIV)

  9. SALVATION - that people would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior; that we would present the Gospel with clarity, sensitivity, winsomeness, and boldness. - “...Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:10 NIV) - For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes...” (Romans‬ ‭1:16‬ ‭ESV) - "And when he comes, he will open the eyes of the blind and unplug the ears of the deaf." (Isaiah 35:5 NLT)

NOLA Team Dynamics

  • ACCELERATED SPIRITUAL GROWTH in each team member's ability to recognize the enemy’s schemes and step into the authority we have in Christ to overcome these. That we employ this for our individual selves, and pray protection over specific members of the group, and for the group as a whole. ‬‬"All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ." (Ephesians 1:3 NLT)

  • TEAM UNITY - Mutual care, respect, honor, and support of one another, in strengthening, encouragement, and comfort of each other, and in unified prayer. (a "one for all and all for one" mentality) - “that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭12:25-26‬ ‭ESV)

  • REVELATION - That God would reveal to us His big heart for the people of New Orleans and for all people in this world. That we would be consumed with a passion to see people come to experience God's love, freedom, and restoration of relationship and the abundant life He offers. That we would see with our own eyes Jesus's power to heal, set free, and overcome all that the enemy has come to steal, kill, and destroy, in this world, forever seeing ourselves as bringers of His Kingdom on the earth.
