Treasure Hunt

Evangelism

Before you go out in a group of two or three, pray together and ask God for specific descriptions of people, names, locations, and other clues.

  1. Ask God for clues - Location (or surroundings), A person’s name, a person’s appearance (and/or occupations), what they need prayer for, even for the mysterious or unusual (so many possibilities).

  2. Spend a few minutes in prayer to get the clues - Each person writes their clues down, even drawing mental images.

  3. Share your clues with the group to formulate a collective and mental treasure map - Everyone hears all the clues and writes them down on notecards, which they’ll bring with them.

  4. When you find something on the Treasure Map that seems like one of the clues, confidently and boldly approach that person - You might say, “You might not believe this but God…”

  5. Show the person the clues list pertaining to him or her, then build rapport - Tell them that God loves them so much He spoke to you about them so you could come and encourage/minister/bless them.

  6. Ask to pray for them and for the needs they shared, if any, and whatever else you felt for them.

Ask God for Clues In These Areas:

  • PEOPLE - Who do you want us to approach?

  • MINISTRY - What do you want us to do and say?

  • LOCATION - Where do you want us to go?

  • APPROACH/CHARACTER - How do you want us to minister?
