“I who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about You, Lord: You alone are my refuge, my place of safety; You are my God, and I trust You.
For You will rescue me from every trap and protect me from deadly disease. You will cover me with your feathers. You will shelter me with your wings. Your faithful promises are my armor and protection.
I will not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. I will not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at my side, though ten thousand are dying around me, these evils will not touch me.
I will just open my eyes, and see how the wicked are punished. If I make the Lord my refuge, if I make the Most High my shelter, no evil will conquer me; no plague will come near my home. For You will order your angels to protect me wherever I go. They will hold me up with their hands so I won’t even hurt my foot on a stone. I will trample upon lions and cobras; I will crush fierce lions and serpents under my feet!
[God says this about me] The Lord says, ‘I will rescue you who love me. I will protect you who trusts in my name. When you call on me, I will answer; I will be with you in trouble. I will rescue and honor you . I will reward you with a long life and give you my salvation.’”

Yo habito al abrigo del Altísimo. Moro bajo la sombra del Omnipotente. Diré a Jehová: Esperanza mía, y castillo mío; Mi Dios, en quien confiaré. Él me librará del lazo del cazador, de la peste destructora. Con sus plumas me cubrirá, Y debajo de sus alas estaré seguro; Escudo y adarga es su verdad.
No temeré el terror nocturno, ni saeta que vuele de día, ni pestilencia que ande en oscuridad, ni mortandad que en medio del día destruya. Caerán a mi lado mil, Y diez mil a mi diestra; Mas a mí no llegarán.
Ciertamente con mis ojos miraré Y veré la recompensa de los impíos. Porque he puesto a Jehová, que es miesperanza, al Altísimo por mi habitación, no me sobrevendrá mal, ni plaga tocará mi morada. Pues a tus ángeles mandarás acerca de mí, Que me guarden en todos mis caminos. En las manos me llevarán, para que mipie no tropiece en piedra. Sobre el león y el áspid pisaré; Hollaré al cachorro del león y al dragón.
[Dios dice de nosotros] Por cuanto en Mí has puesto tu amor, yo también te libraré; Te pondré en alto, por cuanto has conocido Mi nombre. Me invocarás, y Yo te responderé; Contigo estaré en la angustia; Te libraré y te glorificaré. Te saciaré de larga vida, Y te mostraré mi salvación.
