The Gospel: The gospel of Jesus—fulfilled through His incarnation, life, death, resurrection, ascension, and coronation as King over all creation—offers salvation to all who respond. True salvation, as proclaimed in the Gospel of the Kingdom, always includes discipleship. (see Gospel & Discipleship: A Unified Message)
The Call: We are called to be disciples of Jesus (His apprentices who get to "Be with Jesus, Become Like Jesus, and Do as He did") and to make disciples who make disciples, just as He commanded.
The Model: Jesus is the model for both life and ministry, showing us how to live and make disciples by following His example. Jesus is the model for what it looks like to live as God intends.
The Book: The Bible is the final authority and the ultimate disciple-making book (the core curriculum), written by disciples, to disciples, and for disciples—who live under the authority of the Word of God—as God's guide and standard for life and mission.
The Driving Force: Love is the driving force of disciple making, as true discipleship flows from deep, loving and accountable relationships rooted in the Great Commandment.
The Measure: Fruitfulness is the measure of discipleship, as true disciples grow in Christlikeness to become more like Jesus and multiply by making other disciples.
The Means: The Holy Spirit empowers disciple making, producing obedient and holy disciples who glorify God.
The Environment: The local church is the primary environment for disciple making, existing to raise up, equip and send disciples into the world.
The Movement: Disciple Making Movements (DMM) grow when leaders are trained to develop other disciple-making leaders, multiplying the mission of Jesus.
