A Call to Repent and Enter His Everlasting Reign
by Raimer Rojas
The Gospel of the Kingdom is the good news that Jesus Christ is King—He has come to restore what was lost, to rule with righteousness, and to bring His people into His everlasting dynasty. But to enter His Kingdom, we must respond—turning from our rebellion and submitting to His rule. The story of the Kingdom can be understood through five D’s.
DESIGN > DEFIANCE > DELIVERANCE >DOMINION > DYNASTY
The Gospel of His Kingdom: A Call to Repent and Enter His Everlasting Reign
1. DESIGN – Created to Dwell With God
In the beginning, God designed humanity to dwell in perfect relationship with Him. He made us in His image to reflect His glory, exercise dominion over the earth under His authority, and spread the knowledge of God everywhere. We were created to live in His presence, under His good and loving rule.
“Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion…’” (Genesis 1:26).
Humanity walked in unbroken fellowship with God in the garden (Genesis 2:15-17).
2. DEFIANCE – Rejecting His Rule
Instead of living under God’s reign, we chose to defy Him. Humanity rebelled against the King, seeking autonomy rather than submission. This led to separation, sin, and death. Because of our sin, we lost our place in His presence and came under the curse of sin, unable to restore ourselves.
“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
“The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).
3. DELIVERANCE – The King Comes to Save
But God, rich in mercy, did not leave us in our rebellion. Jesus, the rightful King, came to dwell among us, to rescue us from sin, and to restore His rule. Through His perfect life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection, He made a way for us to be reconciled to God. Jesus calls us to turn from our rebellion (repentance) and trust in Him (faith). Through His blood, we receive forgiveness and are welcomed back into His Kingdom.
“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14).
“Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God” (1 Peter 3:18).
“Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17).
4. DOMINION – Living Under His Rule
Salvation is not just about escaping judgment—it’s about being restored to our original purpose. Those who trust in Christ now live under His dominion, bringing His rule and reign into every part of life. As His disciples, we now live as ambassadors of His Kingdom, proclaiming His reign and making disciples of all nations.
“He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the Kingdom of His beloved Son” (Colossians 1:13).
“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness” (Matthew 6:33).
5. DYNASTY – His Everlasting Kingdom
The Kingdom of God is both already here (through Jesus’ first coming) and not yet fully realized (until His return). One day, Christ will return as King, judge the world, and establish His eternal dynasty. He will rule over the entire earth. His Kingdom is a kingdom that will never end. Those who have bowed the knee to King Jesus will dwell in His presence forever—reigning with Him in the new heavens and new earth. But those who refuse to submit to His reign will face eternal separation from His presence.
“He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His Kingdom there will be no end” (Luke 1:33).
“They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. And they will reign forever and ever” (Revelation 22:4-5).
Your Response: Entering His Kingdom
Jesus offers forgiveness, new life, and a place in His Kingdom—but we must respond:
Repent – Turn from your sin and rebellion against God.
Believe – Trust in Jesus as the only Savior and rightful King.
Follow – Live under His rule, as His disciple, proclaiming His Kingdom.
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).
Will you bow to King Jesus and enter His Kingdom today?
