Saturate Prayer is a ministry birthed at PIHOP (Pasadena International House of Prayer in Pasadena, California), created to offer a space not for spoken or silent prayer, but for contemplation. In this space, volunteers lovingly draw near to people who desire to receive from the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Without words or pressure, they simply place their hands gently on the shoulders of the one receiving, welcoming God’s presence and allowing Him to move as He wills.

We will use Saturate Prayer in a small group in a modified way—shortened to 5 minutes per session rather than 10. We will also rotate between group members, with each person taking a turn as both the receiver and the minister. Those present will be paired accordingly.

Why is this ministry necessary?

Because many of us carry wounds and burdens that we can’t always express—whether because of how personal they are, or due to shame or fear of being judged. This is not a space for talking or explaining. It’s an invitation to simply be with God, without telling Him what to do.

The Body of Christ needs moments like these, where the Holy Spirit can move freely, without being limited by our expectations or words. What does God do when we invite Him without placing conditions? He often surprises us. He often heals us. He often touches us in ways we wouldn’t even know to ask for.

What will we do today?

We’ll have two rounds of 5 minutes each, with soft music playing in the background. In each pair, one person will receive while the other positions themselves to behold Jesus, trusting to be a channel of His presence and power. Then they will switch roles.

What does the volunteer do?

They don’t pray. They don’t speak—they behold/contemplate Jesus. They fix their heart and mind on Him. They stay silent, attentive, and present. We trust in the promise of Matthew 6:33: “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” As we contemplate His beauty, power, and glory, we believe that God is working—even if we don’t see or feel it immediately.

An invitation to trust and receive

God is here. His Spirit is ready to bless you. You don’t have to feel anything special. Just be willing to receive and stay focused on His presence. Think of the four friends who brought the paralyzed man to Jesus—we’re doing the same today: we bring people into His presence and let Him do whatever He wants to do. We are among friends. Receive freely.

We consecrate this space

For your peace, we will consecrate this space to God. We ask Him to cleanse it, fill it with His presence, and let everything that happens here be for Him alone.

Oración Saturada es un ministerio nacido en PIHOP (Casa de Oración en Pasadena, California), creado para ofrecer un espacio no de oración hablada ni silenciosa, sino de contemplación.

En este espacio, los voluntarios se acercan con amor a personas que desean recibir del ministerio del Espíritu Santo. Sin palabras ni presión, simplemente colocan sus manos suavemente sobre los hombros del que recibe, dando la bienvenida a la presencia de Dios y permitiéndole obrar como Él quiera.

Usaremos la Oración Saturada en un grupo pequeño de manera modificada—acortada a 5 minutos por sesión en lugar de 10. ¿Por qué es necesario este ministerio?

Porque muchos cargamos con heridas y pesos que no siempre podemos expresar—ya sea por lo personal del asunto, o por vergüenza o temor a ser juzgados. Este no es un espacio para explicar ni hablar. Es una invitación a simplemente estar con Dios, sin decirle lo que debe hacer.

El Cuerpo de Cristo necesita momentos como estos, donde el Espíritu Santo puede moverse con libertad, sin que lo limitemos a nuestras expectativas o palabras. ¿Qué hace Dios cuando lo invitamos sin imponerle condiciones? Suele sorprendernos. Suele sanarnos. Suele tocarnos de formas que no sabríamos pedir.

¿Qué haremos hoy?

Tendremos dos rondas de 5 minutos, con música suave de fondo. En cada pareja, uno recibirá y el otro se posicionará para contemplar a Jesús, confiando en ser un canal de su presencia y poder. Luego intercambiarán roles.

¿Qué hace el voluntario?

No ora, no habla—contempla a Jesús. Enfoca su corazón y mente en Él. Se queda en silencio, atento, presente. Confiamos en la promesa de Mateo 6:33: “Busquen primero el Reino de Dios y su justicia, y todo lo demás les será añadido.” Mientras contemplamos su belleza, poder y gloria, creemos que Dios está obrando, incluso si no lo vemos o sentimos al instante.

Una invitación a confiar y recibir

Dios está aquí. Su Espíritu está listo para bendecirte. No tienes que sentir nada especial. Solo disponte a recibir y a estar enfocado en Su presencia. Piensa en los cuatro amigos que llevaron al paralítico ante Jesús—nosotros hacemos lo mismo hoy: traemos a las personas a su presencia y dejamos que Él haga lo que quiera hacer. Estamos entre amigos. Recibe con libertad.
