The book of Revelation (chapters 1-3) gives us over 30 descriptions of Jesus (e.g, Alpha & Omega, The Living One, The Morning Star) The A-R-K method is a simple way to focus your heart on Jesus through:
A ➝ Agreement with who He is
R ➝ Revelation of His character
K ➝ Keeping His truth in faith and action
How to Use the A-R-K Prayer Guide
Choose one of Jesus’ descriptions from Revelation 1-3 (e.g., “Faithful Witness” – Rev. 1:5).
Meditate on that description.
Pray through the A-R-K steps below, speaking out loud or in your heart.
Journal insights, prayers, or actions that come to mind.
By consistently meditating and praying this way, we grow in knowing Jesus, receiving His revelation, and living in His truth.
Example: “Faithful Witness” (Revelation 1:5)
We declare the truth about Jesus with gratitude and love using the insight from one of Jesus' descriptions we have chosen.
“Jesus, You are the Faithful Witness. You always speak truth. You are the Firstborn from the dead. You rule over all the kings of the earth. I agree with who You are, and I declare it before You.”
We ask the Holy Spirit for deeper understanding of Jesus.
“Holy Spirit, show me what it means that Jesus is the Faithful Witness. Teach me more about His truthfulness and His leadership. Reveal more of who He is to my heart.”
We commit to live in response to what we have received.
“Jesus, because You are the Faithful Witness, I commit to stand for truth even when it is difficult. Help me to be faithful in my words and actions, just as You are. Strengthen me to live in Your truth every day.”
